Admiral Recruitment supports hospitality sector talent

Paula Rogers, founder and CEO of Admiral Recruitment, presented Paul Brackley, general manager of the Shangri-La Hotel at The Shard, with the title ‘Manager of the year’ at The Bacchus Alumni Awards 2017 on Monday 24th April 2017 at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, London.

The Awards celebrate the professional achievements of graduates of the Oxford School of Hospitality Management at Oxford Brookes University, bringing together alumni, students, staff, friends of the School and key industry figures within the hospitality sector to mark the professional achievements of its graduates.

A mentor with The Bacchus Mentoring Programme, Paula Rogers has spent her entire career developing, mentoring and placing talent within the hospitality sector.

She said: “I am proud to sponsor the Manager of the Year award category and to be part of this unique programme which links postgraduate and final-year undergraduate students with senior, experienced figures from the international hospitality and tourism industry.

“It was a great honour to present Paul Brackley, a graduate of Oxford Brookes University, as the winner. He is a perfect example of a talented hospitality professional, who, with the right education, training and support, is now general manager at one of London’s most iconic venues.”

Relationships continue to drive success

One of London’s leading players within the temporary and permanent specialist recruitment sector, Admiral Recruitment is known for its emphasis on relationships and the support it gives to clients, resulting in a loyal client-base and a candidate database of over 100,000.

Over the past three years alone, the company has grown by 26% percent, fuelled by its positioning within a highly competitive marketplace as a ‘go to’ consultancy for clients’ specific recruitment needs. Annual turnover is expected to reach £12 million this year.

For over 22 years, Admiral Recruitment has supported leading operators within the hospitality and commercial sectors, providing recruitment services on a relational rather than a transactional basis.

Admiral  Recruitment represents clients in a growing number of operating sectors including respected contract and event caterers,  hotels, private clubs, pubs, bars, restaurants, nightclubs, national high street restaurant chains and casual dining outlets. Its Commercial and FM divisions are taking the company into new growth areas such as facilities, front of house management and into the corporate sector.

Understanding the hospitality sector from the inside out

Paula Rogers said: “We have taken recruitment beyond transactional into consultative. For us, recruitment is personal. It demands high levels of trust, integrity and engagement – and this is where we thrive.

“We understand the sensitivity required. We know that the business of recruitment is a personal one, and is often about winning hearts as well as minds. Great recruiters make happy clients. Quite simply, we love what we do”

A key USP of the company is that over 90% of its trade comes from repeat business from previous clients. The company’s success rate with candidates staying in their positions after one year is almost 95%, and Admiral Recruitment has a 96% fill rate on all positions they handle exclusively.
