New ibis Styles London Heathrow Airport East hotel opens in style

On Thursday 30th January, Splendid Hospitality Group hosted the launch party and ribbon cutting for the new ibis Styles London Heathrow Airport East hotel.

The event was attended by over 100 guests consisting of Splendid Hospitality Group and Accor stakeholders, along with local businesses.

Ibis Styles London Heathrow Airport East has been developed in partnership with Splendid Hospitality Group, one of the UK’s fastest growing privately-owned hotel groups, and takes inspiration from the architecture of West London’s Golden Mile.

Complementing the glamorous Art Deco style interiors of the hotel, guests enjoyed a 1920’s inspired event, complete with a red carpet welcome, retro cocktails, small plates, and live music from a blues singer and guitarist.

Guests sipped on Piña Colada and Mary Pickford cocktails, the latter being named after one of the glittering stars of the silent movie era offering a touch of Hollywood glamour, and dug into a variety of small-plates including everything from crispy paneer bites and Mediterranean platters, to lemon drizzle cake and chocolate profiteroles.

Members of the Splendid Hospitality team, including MD Andrew Kendrick and Vice Chairman, Nadeem Boghani, gave welcome speeches, followed by MP Seema Malhotra and Thomas Dubaere, COO of Accor Northern Europe. After speeches, senior members of the team carried out the ceremonial ribbon cutting, before guests were offered show rounds of the new 125-room hotel.

Thomas Dubaere said, “I am proud of how the ibis Styles brand has developed in the last few years – it truly is a great example of how people, passion and great design can come together to tell a story. Our partnership with Splendid Hospitality has created an excellent flagship hotel combining passionate people, great customer service and stunning design”.

MP Seema Malhotra added, “I want to thank the Boghani family for their genuine commitment to improving our local area, and the way in which you’ve designed the hotel to make it a place for business and leisure travellers.

“Thank you for the vision which has gone into this. I know the jobs you will offer to the area will be very well received because they are jobs where employees are treated to be part of the family, and part of a growing and thriving company”.

With its prime location in West London and proximity to Heathrow Airport, the new ibis Styles hotel is ideally located to serve both business and leisure travellers, offering stylish accommodation with convenient transport links.

Ibis Styles London Heathrow East is the 25th Ibis Styles hotel in the UK and 9th in London.
