Launches New Excursions, from Pearl Diving to Picnics on a Disappearing Island
Enjoy a sun-soaked escape to the chic, authentic and culture-rich Bahrain. Enticing travellers from around the globe, Bahrain offers a more laidback, relaxed alternative to neighbouring Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The attractive archipelago of 33 islands offers adventurous travellers oodles of culture, and an extensive array of unique activities; from pearl diving and exploring the biodiversity of Bahrain on new private boat trips, to uncovering ancient heritage and architectural wonders on bespoke walking tours.
New for 2019, The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain has launched a series of boat trips to discover the hidden enclaves and sandy inlets of the Kingdom of Bahrain. On the new Pearl 1 experience, board a luxury boat and sail to nearby ‘Jarada’ island – a deserted strip of white sand, only accessible for two hours per day before the tide forces it to disappear. Upon arrival, guests are seated on traditional, woven cushions and greeted by a resident Chef, before being presented with a picnic of authentic Bahraini dishes. Back at the resort, travellers can soothe sea legs with a treatment in the new spa cabana, perched on the hotels’ very own private island.
The five-star resort will also welcome a new Bar de La Plage, relaunch two of its restaurants, and a soft renovation across its villa accommodation.
